Marcia Collyer, MA, RN, CPXP

Marcia Collyer currently serves as the Director of Patient Experience at Erlanger Health System, which includes a Level 1 trauma center in Tennessee. In this role, she provides system oversight for patient experience, patient advocacy, and grievances, ensuring exceptional care and service for patients and their families.

Broadening her knowledge and abilities, Marcia progressed from her initial healthcare experience with Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida to key roles in organizational development and patient experience with HCA Healthcare, Catholic Health Initiatives, and Advent Health. Several of these years, Marcia also worked with the Studer Group providing coaching and consultancy services for multiple hospitals in developing leadership institutes to drive operational excellence.

Throughout her career, Marcia has developed and implemented innovative leadership initiatives, including creating Emerging Leaders programs and Leadership Institutes for senior leaders. Marcia also has hands-on experience in training caregivers on empathy, nursing bundle best practices, and relationship-centered communication. She has shadowed physicians to evaluate communication at the bedside, conducted MD/RN rounds, and participates in Nurse Leader visits in acute care and in the Emergency room. Marcia remains dedicated to promoting staff growth and engagement and increasing patient satisfaction.
