Amr Metwally

Amr Metwally is Strategic & Operational Leader for Business Change, Growth and Performance Improvement with 20 years’ experience in program portfolio management, Healthcare planning & Design, Strategy, Operation, and business transformation initiatives.

Amr M. joined Hamad Medical Corporation back to 2010, and ever since he have held several Executive Managerial positions, began with “Program Portfolio Manager” where he led and delivered multi-size projects with a total value exceeds 2.4 Billion USD, He also supported the startup of several clinical Business units as Home Care, Nursing Homes, Dementia Unit, Medical Education, Robotic Surgery and Communicable Diseases Center.

He also served as Commander in the COVID-19 National Rapid Response committee where he led nationally a core Front-Line Team with responsibilities of Planning, Design and Execution of all the upgrades/new Covid-19 facilities across Qatar.

Beginning of 2020, Amr was designated as Assistant Executive Director in “ITQAN Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center” One of the world’s largest simulation centers. Ever since he joined HMC, Amr presented HMC and MoPH as Healthcare Advisor/consultant in multiple national boards, committees, and organizations, also seconded to assess and establish a performance development plans for several entities with respect to their Healthcare segment.

Amr graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Alexandria University, and he served in several international consultants as Lead Architect Designer for the MENA Region with a wide portfolio developing both sustainable and visionary architectural award-winning healthcare, corporate/commercial, and higher education projects in GCC and Egypt. Amr’s Designed projects have been recognized regional and internationally by receiving many wards like the Cityscape Award, Hospital Build Award for the best hospital design in ME and SBID for the most intelligence design of the year worldwide 2013 which he has been recognized at the Housel of the Lords in London. His name was called as the ME Architect of the year in 2013 plus his name Voted in the top 50 designer who reshape the design industry in ME. He completed his EMBA from HEC Paris, and now and since he is part of the EMBA candidates Selection Committee in HEC Paris Executive Business School. Amr is sought keynote speaker in many International Healthcare Conferences, and he is avid healthcare researcher and publisher in many international referees and journals.
