Dr. Majeda Afeef Al-Ruzzieh, PhD, FPCC

Dr. Al-Ruzzieh is the CNO at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Jordan. Under her leadership, KHCC became the first hospital in Jordan to achieve the Magnet® Designation in 2019 and 2nd redesignation in 2024. Moreover, KHCC became the first hospital in the Middle East to receive accreditation for shared governance from the Forum for Shared Governance in 2020. Furthermore, she established the first Oncology Nursing Residency Program (ON-RP) in Jordan, which was accredited with distinction as the first of its kind in Jordan and the 2nd in the Middle East by the ANCC in 2022.

Dr. Al-Ruzzieh leadership extends to directing the Nursing Research and EBP and the accredited Life Support Training Center at KHCC. She contributed her expertise as an advisory member in many national, regional and international boards such as executive board for the Jordanian Nursing Council, four esteemed nursing schools, and many scientific committees for nursing forums and conferences. Moreover she serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Shared Governance Forum. Dr. Al-Ruzzieh’s dedication to advancing nursing is evident through her publications and presentations, recognized with the HRH Princess Mona Al-Hussien Award for the Nursing Leadership in Jordan in 2013.
