Joanne Hubbard

Joanne (Jo) Hubbard’s present position is as the Education Senior Advisor – SSMC Patient Experience Team at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City SSMC in Abu Dhabi. Jo is a nurse, midwife and lactation consultant and PhD Candidate. She has 39 years in healthcare: 27 years’ leadership experience of which 27 years has been in Oman and the UAE.

Jo is transformational leader, highly energetic and motivated, with a passion for education. She has extensive experience in simulation, building the first SEHA simulation centre in Abu Dhabi. Her cultural diversity awareness and sensitivity, accompanied with qualities and ability to help build a foundation for enhancing patient experience currently and ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered.

Within her role at SSMC Jo managers the Communities and Humanities program line and Improvement Partnerships, being a strong advocate for the patients voice and putting the needs of our patients and first.
